While in Joshua Tree, we stopped by this sculpture museum where Noah Purifoy lived out the last 15 years of life in the Mojave making intricate large-scale sculpture art from scrap and trash materials. His early sculpture art, 66 Signs of Neon, was in response to the 1965 Watts Rebellion against police brutality in LA.



Being such a big fan of post-apocalyptic media and art, I loved this so much. I took note of so many things I want to try to incorporate into my own camp’s aesthetic.
